The screen is enough to be used by multiple people at once, making for a great size for families. At the same time, they’re not as awkward to fit and place as the larger options. They’re much easier to move around, clean, and manage in any other way. Placing these size versions will be easy enough so a person can do it by themselves.
Contrary to what you might think, neither 55 nor 65-inch tv sets are not in the dimensions they’re labeled. The 55 and 65 don’t mean width or height- but more on that later. For now, here are the dimensions of 55 & 65-inch TVs:
- 55 inch-TV: 47.9’’ (121.7cm) width by 27’’ (68.6cm) height. It amounts to the total area of 1293in2 being taken up by this version.
- 65 inch-Tv: 56.7’’ (144cm) width by 31.9’’ (81cm) height. This amount to the total area of 1809in2 being taken up by this version.
As you can see, neither the width nor the height is indicated by the number used to label the TV. The width is generally slightly lower than that, while the height is usually considerably smaller. The total area in square feet is also important, as it determines the final amount of space you’ll have to reserve for the TV.

What should you expect from them?
Television sets that come in the size of 55 inches are big enough to provide some luxury for a decently low price. Even though there are much bigger models than this one, it’s still enough to include most of the popular TV features. Some of them are:
- Multiple HDMI ports- most 55-inch TVs not only have an HDMI port but feature a couple of them. It not only gives you more freedom in choosing which port to use. It also gives the option to take up multiple ports at once to allow for cooperative usage. If any of the few ports are malfunctioning, you’ll be able to use the other ones. It increases the overall durability and the fact that it’s failproof.
- USB ports- HDMI is not the only outside format supported. The USB format is probably the most used format today and is supported by most models. It allows the user to plug many various devices, from speakers to laptops and even voice assistants such as Alexa.

On the other hand, they won’t provide a great watching experience. Details might be too tiny to take apart, and there won’t be many customization options. You can also expect these TVs to have barely any external ports.
Medium-sized:
They are the perfect middle ground. They don’t cost that much more. However, you will be able to see the difference between them and the smaller models regarding comfort. They’ll also provide more ports and luxury options. They don’t lose their compact abilities and are still fairly easy to place.
Unfortunately, they have the “wrongs” of both the size types as the medium. They still don’t provide the same luxury as the bigger options and cost more than smaller ones. They might also provide a bit of a problem when mounting on walls.
Bigger:
They’re certainly the prestige pick. These TVs are made for people with the pickiest tastes and are the most luxurious and prestigious they can be. They’re highly customizable with more options and ports than you can count and a screen big enough to make for a personal cinema.
Unfortunately, they are also the most expensive options. Besides, they’re the hardest to add to your furnishing. They require thorough planning to be placed anywhere.
